Hello! My name is Chi Eastin and I am the new General Manager of the Kingsley Inn. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful hotel and I look forward to welcoming guests very soon! I’ve been in the hospitality industry in various forms since graduating from Midstate College in the Travel and Hospitality Operations program in 1995. Since then, I’ve worked in hotels, as a tour operator, a travel agent, tourism office assistant and an event planner. I believe that my background has prepared me for this new endeavor and I’m ready to share the Kingsley Inn and Southeast Iowa with guests!

A little bit about myself:
MY FAMILY: I live onsite at the Kingsley Inn with my children and our Yorkie Poo, Chewie. We all enjoy the building and are excited to meet our guests. We are just a phone call away with any questions, comments or concerns.
WHERE WERE YOU BORN: “I was born and raised in Donnellson, Iowa and have lived in the area my entire life. Even though I want to travel the world, I feel at home here and wouldn’t change that for the world.”
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR DOWN TIME: “I spend time with my 3 kids and little dog traveling, swimming and hopefully some camping. I also enjoy traveling to John Mayer concerts.”
FAVORITE ROOM: “I like so many rooms, but my favorites are the parlor, the new billiards room, Room 202 and of course, the newly renovated Kingsley Guest House. I’ve worked really hard on designing an elegant yet functioning space that can be utilized in many ways.”
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY? “I like meeting new people and sharing my love of the area with them. If I can’t travel, then I want to share my hometown area with guests from all over! I think of myself as their personal concierge!”

We look forward to hosting your stay soon!

Welcome back to the Kingsley Inn! Not just to our guests, but to Bonnie Bell! Bonnie has been with the Kingsley Inn for 8 years until the business closed in early 2018.  This one-woman dynamo has done everything at the hotel including maintenance, cooking breakfast, housekeeping and was a welcoming face at check in that has greeted thousands of weary travelers.

We are so happy that she decided to come back and join our team!  We would like our guests to know a little bit more about our Kingsley Inn MVP!

FAVORITE SPORTS TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bulls

WHERE WERE YOU BORN: “I was born and raised in Lee County!”

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR DOWN TIME: “I spend time with my husband of 42 years, my 3 kids and my 9 grandchildren.”

FAVORITE MEMORY AT KINGSLEY INN: “I loved decorating the hotel up for Halloween and handing out candy, cupcakes, hot chocolate, punch and coffee to the trick-or-treaters.” Bonnie started this tradition a few years ago and we certainly plan on keeping up with it with her at the helm!

FAVORITE ROOM: “I like the parlor because that’s where everyone would hang out and start talking to each other.”

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY? “I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and the guests that haven’t come back home for years.  I’ve even met people that knew my grandparents!”

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO WITH THE NEW OWNERS?  “The new owners have done so much before we have even opened!  I’m excited to see what we come up with for our guests!”

Welcome back Bonnie! We look forward to making the Kingsley Inn bigger and better together!
